Who We Are

More Action Care (MAC) is a humanitarian NGO based in Sierra Leone focused on saving lives and improving well-being through practical, community-driven solutions.

We believe that many deaths and crises can be prevented when people are equipped with the right knowledge, skills, and systems. Our work strengthens communities by training local responders, improving health awareness, and building emergency support structures where they are needed most.

MAC is currently operating in Sierra Leone and is working toward expanding its impact across Africa in the future.

What We Do

1. Well-Being & Life-Saving Skills Training (WBLSST)

We provide practical education, awareness, and sensitisation that strengthens personal and community health:

First Aid and CPR
* Mental health awareness and education
* Drugs and alcohol awareness education
* Sexual health education and awareness
* Fire safety and community responder training
* Water safety and community response training

(including swimming pools safety)

Outcome: Faster response times and stronger survival outcomes in emergencies.

2. Community First Responders Network (CFRN)

We build local emergency response systems that save lives before hospitals are reached:

* Training community first responders
* Equipping trained responders with emergency response tools and knowledge
* Community sensitisation and awareness on emergency response, safety, and preparedness
* Establishing community emergency response points and systems
* Setting up first aid rooms or first aid points within communities and institutions
* Linking responders to a central support system/hotline
* Supporting rapid response to accidents, medical emergencies, and crisis situations
* Strengthening coordination between communities and formal health and emergency services
